Mission:

Eating for a Lifetime’s mission is to provide excellent and innovative consultative and educational services in health supportive cooking and eating to our clients so that they may become active partners in reclaiming and maintaining their own health, as well as the health of their family and their community.

At Eating for a Lifetime we believe that food can heal us and keep us healthy. We also believe that healthy food that tastes delicious is even better. Finally, we believe that when we cook to heal ourselves and our families we are creating the most nourishing food possible.

Eating for a Lifetime was founded in 1997 by Laura Pole, a certified health supportive chef and a cancer nurse after graduating from the Natural Gourmet Institute for Food & Health in Manhattan. The purpose was to provide care for her clients by preparing healthy foods.

Early on she realized that very few of us knew how to cook healthy foods ourselves and she could only serve a few people at any one time. And, cooking for people still doesn't put them in control of their health! So, Eating for a Lifetime is now about putting people's health back into their hands by putting people's hands back into their food.

Laura now teaches individuals and groups how to select, prepare and eat foods that supports the health of clients and their families and communities. Please see our List of Services for upcoming classes and seminars.
